Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to this guy. He's the best dad we could ask for in our home! Jared is so kind, patient, loving... the list goes on and on.

He is truly my best friend, and I have loved watching him become the dad that he is. I love watching him with Emery and how she lights up when he comes home from work. We're so thankful for Da-E!

Enjoy the Journey.

S.P.O.T.S.

I think the only thing that is consistent around here besides being busy is the Girlie always has spots.  This month we took her off her med partially because it ran out/we didn't feel like it was helping and partially because we were hoping someone could see an outbreak.

Well we were wrong, while she still has quite a few spots, they're nothing compared to what she had when she went off of the meds.

This picture and the one below are from May 14th.

This one and the next two are from May 17th.

With being off the meds they got super itchy this time so she got scabs where she'd scratch them. It was SO sad. She literally slept in our bed for a week so that we could do our best to keep her from scratching, and to get her back to sleep because she was waking up so much from the itching.

This is May 18th.

Her back has another (compared to this minor, but still a lot) outbreak right now, and is barely recovering from the discoloration from this bad outbreak. The allergist wants to repeat a blood test in a few weeks to check her tryptase level again and make sure it hasn't gone up.

Until then, we live with spots and keep hoping that they'll eventually go away.

Dear Girlie,

Girlie, you've been put through so much lately and you cannot get healthy! In the last 3 weeks you have had a double ear infection with a UTI on top of that, (two biopsy's and blood work) then you had another ear infection,  on the way back from the dr. when that was diagnosed you puked everywhere in the car (last Friday). Then Sunday came and during sacrament meeting you started to run a fever and fell asleep in Granma's arms towards the end. Dad took you home with Granpa and put you down for a nap and then he came back to church.

Then Tuesday you woke up from your nap in screaming pain. You wouldn't put any weight on your left leg at all. After about 45 min you finally did and then walked with a limp for a while. I also noticed some raised strange spots on your knee that almost looked wart like. So yesterday I took you to the Dr. The Dr. said she thinks you might have had a reaction to the antibiotic that you were put on and told us to take you off of it. I also noticed some spots on your lips and asked her about them. Turns out when you woke up this morning for sure you now have hand, foot, and mouth.

Also your biopsy's came back early this week. Once again they showed non-specific hypersensitivity reaction.

Basically we're home, not doing much of anything because I don't want your friends to get sick and I don't want you to catch anything else! We've had to turn down a lot of invitations to do fun things, and I keep asking for rainchecks so that when you do get healthy we have lots of fun things to do! Hopefully this will all go away quickly and we'll figure out what's going on with your little body!

I love you!

Park City

A couple weeks ago we went on a little family vacation to Park City!

We started Monday off by making a stop in Midway for lunch and some thrifting. Then headed to Heber to go to a park.

Then we headed towards Park City. We stopped and went on a hike on the way and Em loved it!

She found " a wok! Momma a wok!" (and she'd sign a fist on a flat hand like "The Wise Man Built..."

We rented a condo at Silver King. It was really nice! We had one bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a hot tub in our room, a living room, dining area, and kitchen.  The girlie got to stay up way past her bedtime playing in the hot tub, watching movies, and eating popcorn. She was in HEAVEN.

Tuesday morning we hit another thrift store and both Jared and I found some shoes. I also found a piece of pyrex to sell (I wanted to get rid of it quick so I dropped the price and only made $8, but that's still $8!)

The pool was closed when we got there but opened Tuesday afternoon so we decided to venture down.

It ended up being freezing so we only stayed in like 10 minutes. We did complain and they ended up refunding half of what we paid! I'm thankful we had the hot tub because Emery loves to swim and we had prepped her for the vacation by asking her if she was excited to go swimming.

We hit another park on Tuesday after grabbing dinner out. A random little boy pinched my bum and said "I got you!".... that was interesting.

Wednesday morning we checked out and hit another little hike in Lambs Canyon on our way back into SLC. We stopped at DI, the NPS store, and headed back.

It was a great family vacation and we all loved it! It was our first official family vacation, and we look forward to MANY more in the future.

Enjoy the Journey.

A Job...

Debbie approached me a while ago about working for her again. After talking it over with Jared we thought it would be a great opportunity and so I told her yes. I am doing all of the social media for her business My Vinyl Designer. I'm starting my official second week and I'm loving it!

Enjoy the Journey.

Med-A-Sin

So after a 102 temp and finding out you have a UTI and double ear infections you get put on meds. She HATED them. This is what she would do to "hide" so she didn't have to take them (or so she thought!). Now she has an ear infection again, this time in only one ear, but she's doing better with this med.

Enjoy the Journey.

[For the Love] of Rice

This is her favorite method of eating lately. I'm thankful she eats, but it gets a bit messy sometimes!

This is less messy though that eating rice with her fingers!

The Girlie's Baby

She's been loving on her baby lately and is such a great little mom!

Enjoy the Journey.

COLE!!!

We found a little SD card music player that only had an SD card for HSM. For a quarter it was totally worth it. She loves it!
