Cell Phone Update

Sorry for the low quality... here are some pictures from our life from the month of January.

Chip Beef Gravy is always a fav!

Anyone need a dryer sheet?

Old.

Always a comfortable way to color.

This girlie loves to watch her "birth" video.

She put herself to sleep on the step.

Ready to go!

We were at JCPenny's and Emery was a mess. Jared wasn't inside yet and a lady offered us her cart. She said she was about to leave and knew how it was to shop with a toddler. It made my day!

Flashback to when I was little... hiding and getting into mom's craft stuff!

Rockin' the headwrap!

My name is Kara and I hoard lace....

This girlie posts at the window several times a week waiting for her daddy to come home... sometimes 3 hours before he will even be home, so I have to distract her and get her busy doing other things.

The day after the SF game she was still in her jersey, and then only wanted to wear her Sunday shoes. She kills me sometimes.

These two are my favorite.

And some days.... she's really ready when nap time rolls around.

Enjoy the Journey.

Pinterest Project "Percentage"

About September/October ish I challenged myself to a project. I needed to take action on my Pinterest. I wanted 10% of the things I had pinned to be things that I had done/tried/etc.
I decided to do this project in two ways:
1. To delete things that I had pinned that I knew I was never going to do.
2. To actually do things.

I went through my boards and organized them better so that I would find projects easier. I deleted things that I knew weren't "my style" anymore, either sewing, crafting, clothes, etc. I deleted things that I didn't feel had "meaning" etc.  (Besides Jared's board, that one is his, but I still counted it in my overall pin count)

As I went through boards I moved things into "Projects I've Done" or "Recipes I've Tried." Then I started doing. It was actually really fun. I felt accomplished, productive and started feeling like the Kara that I've always been, but have been busy/lazy lately.

I'm going to keep this challenge going. What's the point in wasting your time on there, dreaming of all of these fabulous things and not actually doing?

I don't have a specific goal in mind yet for my next "Pinterest Project Percentage" but I do plan on coming up with a percentage soon and getting busy for 2014. I already have at least 3 projects underway!

If you have Pinterest why don't you join me?

To see what I've been up to/what I have pinned go to/click:

My "Projects I've Done" and "Recipes I've Tried" boards are the last ones.

(Side note: Future Wedding is Julisa's board that I pin to for ideas for her... I had one wedding and it was fabulous! ;) )

General Conference and Escapee

Emery was great during General Conference!

She especially loved President Uchtdorf, but who doesn't? :)

I was working on some stuff on the front lawn a few weeks ago [pictures to come] and she kept being an Escapee! She apparently wanted to go back into the house.

St. Patrick's Day and Pink Eye

I got her all ready for church before I called Chad thinking I probably shouldn't take her. He said no so she got to stay home with her sick daddy! {I love having a dr. always on call} :)

I spent the day {after sacrament} making Savanna bows, so naturally Emery had to model one.

Jared did too...

Cell Phone Pics

I made a few more bags a few weeks ago. We gave Julie and Jill both one for Mother's day. Then I got a text from Jill saying that Kennedy had already stole hers (this was the next day) so I knew exactly what to do for her birthday that Sunday and already had it done actually!
 Jill's bag
 Julie's Bag
 Kennedy's Bag
Diana taking a nap while Shanda and I made hair bows.
Yes this sweet dresser was at d.i. and I told Jared we needed it. He disagreed.

To Do

As I mentioned in a previous post my mom came down for her spring break. We made a HUGE dent in my TO DO before this little one comes list, but somehow it keeps growing! Not to mention the things we didn't finish are still there and my week of being sick and doing nothing.

This is what I need to get done before she comes:

*Black and Pink Quilt
*Mikee Quilt
*Blessing Dress
* Car seat Cover
*Boppy Cover
*Robe
*Jeans into Capris

The thing is I really should get most of these done this week/weekend. We are headed to Idaho for a family baby shower and so I am hoping to get some done with my mom. The Capris, and boppy cover should be done by the end of today. And I should have the carseat cover and/or robe started.... Here goes a day of sewing!

p.s. I already finished the mock bodice of her blessing dress and a nursing cover today.

Enjoy the Journey.

Projects

When my mom came down we got lots of projects done (as I mentioned previously). One of the things that her and Jared, and Julisa (she was here for a few hours) did was spray paint. I picked up this broken old mirror/frame for free at a garage sale. (I didn't get before pics-yes mom I should have). But I had them spray paint it and then I finished it today. The lace was picked up for free at a garage sale too! So the cost= hot glue and all of the many bows that I have made her. (She has WAY more than this-I didn't want to crowd it and make it look cluttered)   :)

Valentines and Sewing

We had a laid back Valentine's Day in. It was so nice. BUT Jared loves me and got me some of my favorite things. :) (And poor guy he had class until 6:45)
Some bags I have been sewing lately. I found a picture on Pinterest but I am too cheap to buy the pattern so I just made it up! I have now made 5 of them!
They are so quick and easy and I have been using up my scraps that I have in my stash! This is my goal to make more room for this little girls stuff... she already has a lot of clothes!  :)

Enjoy the Journey.

Random.

I was putting pics on the computer and found a bunch of random ones-not enough of any to do a significant blog post now so I put them all together.
The weather in Rexburg has been crazy. Back and forth back and forth. It rained most of the month of June, but it kept our little trailer cool. Now it just gets insanely hot.
Jackson and Miley. My next door neighbors from growing up's kids. They just came over to play. :)
I came home from class to a clean kitchen. I opened the fridge to get some water and started to laugh. I told Jared to come, bring the camera, open the fridge and take a pic. It took him a minute to realize what he had done. :)
Our largest shipping day yet-over 40 packages!!! It was really stressful because of postage, a grumpy postal worker, paypal not working... etc. But we finally got it out. Every package going out is one less thing to move to Utah. :)
Jared didn't believe I could kick the exercise ball out the window while laying down. I did and he jumped out the window to get it. Then he crawled back in. (Don't worry this window didn't have a screen to start with.)

A few Sundays ago I had 2 stys-(see Jared's post) I made hair things all day and relaxed. It was nice, but my eye hurt so bad! I made 41 hair things that day!!!

Enjoy the Journey.
