Easter in Park City

We had a chill weekend in Park City for General Conference/Easter with Jared's parents and Julisa & Daniel. We explored the city, hit up our favorite places and enjoyed conference. Saturday morning we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had indeed found Emery in Park City, and spoiled her! We hurried off to Smiths for an egg hunt!

She was sooooo excited for it to start!

And then, she cried. Eventually she warmed up to it and...

made quite the haul! She got 7 actual eggs that were hid on top of cans. After we looked to see what was inside we wish we would have had her go for more eggs! They were coupons for free boxes of cookies, pudding, or fruit snacks!

They also had donuts, milk, and juice as well as cookies to decorate and pictures to color!

It was a fun weekend spent with good company!

Enjoy the Journey.

Easter Egg Hunt

Some friends in our ward did a little Easter egg hunt and we were so excited we were invited! We were asked to bring 10ish eggs filled, it was perfect because we had 12 eggs left from last year!

Getting ready to go, not really sure what it meant (I dropped the ball on getting her excited for Easter this year).

We sorted them and counted them when we got home. SHE LOVED IT! She was practicing for days after how it goes and what you do when they say go, etc. She was most excited about the sparkly eggs! I'm so glad we went, it was so fun!

Enjoy the Journey.

Pic-ic

Emery has been sooo into picnics lately, sometimes we have one set up for days! Her imagination is going like crazy these days and it is so fun!

Every single day I wonder how she is so pretty!

She's an excellent chef & her new sleeping bag makes for the perfect picnic blanket!

Enjoy the Journey.

Bubble Machine

The Easter Bunny nailed it. The bubble machine was a hit!

(please excuse her homeless hair, this was a super windy day so nothing was working.)

Enjoy the Journey.

More Easter

Easter Sunday we headed to Julie and Jill's for egg dying, dinner and an egg hunt. Emery LOVED dying the eggs!

She was so proud of her egg!

Savanna's teaching her the art of "selfies" young.

This is how she feels when she's jumping. She gets so excited.

She LOVED finding the eggs! Her basket was overflowing and she was the happiest! Everyone else was trying to find the money eggs so Emery and I had the back yard to ourselves, when they came back from the front they noticed she'd collected most of the eggs.

Look at these eggs mom!

Yes, her dress does have bikes on it! My mom and I hit a killer sale at JCP and ended up getting 16 things for less than $50 with sales and coupons. Best deal you ask? My $5 peacoat that had an original $200 sticker on it. BOOM!

I love this girlie!

(side note/story, see on her right nostril -left looking at the pic- she has a scab. While we were at Jared's church ball game she face bounced/fell down three steps and banged herself up pretty good. She only wanted "Ama" after it happened and my mom and I were pretty surprised she didn't do more damage!)

Enjoy the Journey.

Easter Festivities

Emery was so excited this morning at what the Easter bunny had brought her! The Easter bunny also managed to find Granpa an Granma at our house!

After we tried to hit a few yard sales, most were supposed to be open already but were closed, we headed to Smiths for an easter egg hunt.

She wasn't too sure about the Easter bunny.

But she was excited about donut holes and for the hunt!

She was sad when I told her that she had to wait until they told us that it was time.

There were a few eggs, but mostly it was a sea of candy.

She loved it! Yeah-mom fail... She didn't have an actual Easter basket... I couldn't find ours (they don't have a handle anyways) so she used a grocery sack.

She would stick with certain kinds of candy at a time. For example she has twelve smarties in her hands!

When we left there was still candy on the ground! She probably got about ten pounds of candy too! It was crazy. We have candy for the next year! Unless I take it to young women's or send it with Jared to work before then!

Enjoy the Journey.
