Emery found my water glass the other day, but it wasn't like it was hidden as I was sitting cross-legged and it was between them.

"Okay you caught me!"

"I'll take a break and eat your knee."

Granma Jones stopped by.

Granma Jones stopped by passing through on her way to Idaho. She visited for a few minutes and dropped off some meat for us! Thanks for the visit Granma!

For the love of Donuts

A certain girlie has been spoiled lately getting to try donuts. The other day I had a raspberry filled one (Krispy Kreme.... you let me down.) and someone got to try a bite. 

I don't know what was up with the closed eyes but she was happy about it!

When Granma Comes to Town.

We did lots of shopping! We hit the sales and I bought Emery lots of clothes for the fall and winter. I think she's done for the fall and almost for the winter. (I love clearance!!!) We hung out and just enjoyed having her here. It has been tooo long since we have seen her. We have missed her and the weekend went way too fast!!! Sadly I didn't think to take very many pictures. :( But I did before she left this morning. 

She's been doing this a lot lately... apparently she thinks she a little doggie. :)

I love Granma. 

I love this picture! My mom loves her grandkids so much and enjoys them. This picture makes me so happy!

This is how we met Granma-we waited for her once we knew she was off the exit, and this is how we said goodbye. After my mom left Jared was coming back in and grabbed the camera and went back out-this is what we caught....

8 months

I'm a bit late posting this but it's getting done! :) 

At 8 Months Emery:

*Thinks she's so old.

*Is a champ at the stairs-she's speedy!!

*Smiles at anyone and everyone. We FREQUENTLY get stopped out shopping with people telling us how beautiful she is and she just grins away.

*Is in 12 mo sleepers (and has been since 7.5 mo)

*Weighs 20.5 lbs (92%) and is 29 in (98%)

*Is moved up into the big girl carseat (ok so this happened a week after she turned 8 mo)

*Loves to chew on water bottles? Probably due to teeth coming in.

*Is working on tooth number 8 breaking through. I finally figured it out that she thinks she gets a steak instead of a birthday cake when she is 1 if they are all in. :)

*Is still a momma's girl but is getting better.

*Loves that her daddy makes her laugh.

*Pulls herself up on everything and is starting to walk along the furniture more.

I can't believe she has already been here for 8 months! She is the light of our life and is so fun. We can't ever get enough of her! I am so thankful she is in our family and love getting to spend all day every day with her!

Be Mine

A few days ago Emery took a valentine to her boyfriend Tavish, some new bow ties for church! 

Today she took some bows to a few friends with Diana that Shanda and I had made. BUT....

This morning she asked her daddy to be her valentine with Scooby-Doo gum balls. He happily said yes!

(We got this cute dress/shirt from Jared's aunt Lori for a baby gift when Emery was born. It came with bloomers, but I barely found it today in the drawer, so it became a shirt and it was PERFECT for today! I love it!)

Birthday Boy

This cute boy had a birthday yesterday! Since it fell on a Wednesday he was lucky enough to have school! :( He woke up at 7:30-an hour early-studied and went and took a test before classes. He got home about 3:30 and we went to eat at Wingers. The waitress obviously didn't have any experience serving those with babies as she put my drink right in front of Em and she immediately pulled it over and spilled it everywhere. Every time she brought us anything she would put it right in front of Emery and we had to hurry to move it. 

We ran to Wal*Mart to get the rest of the ingredients for his cake, came home and played a bit as a family and then Jared had to head to a test review. He got home shortly after 8 and walked in with Julie, Jill and Kennedy who came down to have cake and ice cream with us. 

After they left we hung out as a family, put Emery to bed and finished watching last week's episode of the Bachelor. :) We love that show!

I am so lucky to have this incredible man in my life and I love him so much! He is my best friend and a great husband. Not to mention is an amazing father! I love watching him with Emery, it just melts my heart!

Happy Birthday Jared! I love you!
