Insta Care Open House

There was an open house for the new instacare that is about to open by the American Fork Hospital. It sounds really lame and I was skeptical when Jared told me about it, but then he showed me the flyer we got in the mail and it sounded like fun. We got a few freebies: band-aids, cinch bags, hand sanitizer, etc. Every "stop" there was some kind of fun activity and you collected stickers to enter for the door prizes. At the very end they had parfaits! It was a fun and FREE activity!

Conference Center

A couple of weeks ago we went to Salt Lake and went to dinner and the conference center. Jared had bought a $30 groupon to Wingers for $10 that was expiring. We decided to go on a Tuesday and use it and then get a tour of the conference center from the Hobbs in our ward. I'm so glad we went! It was a lot of fun and Emery loved seeing pictures of "Je-je" (Jesus), "Oni" (Moroni), and "Gapa" (President Monson).  Sister Hobbs loved showing Emery off to the other missionaries and telling them how Emery is her favorite little girl at church.

We got to go to Olive Garden to use a gift card and take advantage of the "buy one, take one" deal. It was a fun night out!

And another random picture when we were on our way out the door to IKEA. We needed to get out of the house a few weeks ago after Jared worked on my car and fixed the heat, as well as cutting his hand. 

Jared was trying to cut a frozen bagel and sliced his hand pretty bad. I have realized: I don't do blood. If he would have been honest with me about how bad it was we would have gone to get him a few stitches.

Birthday Dinner

When Jared got home from work we decided to go out to dinner. Of course we went to Chili's.

{Super Size Me} Sno Cone

So you might know, I am a sno cone addict. Like seriously. Snoasis in Rexburg did me in. That is the one thing I "craved" when I was pregnant. Last Spring/Summer we had the hardest time finding a sno cone place. We found one-it was ok, but I just wanted Snoasis. Then Jill and Savanna started telling me about this place in Highland, they said it was so good so they took me, IT WAS SNOASIS! I was a happy new mom. Well this summer we noticed a place by our house [really? where were you last summer!?]. We were talking to our friends and thought we should give it a try-they told us no that they would take us to the best place ever. Weeks passed and we hadn't gone, then they told us that they found out the one by our house was in the same chain as their favorite! We went for a date and I've been hooked! 

They are "Original Hawaiian Ice" so their sizes are "Short Board," "Long Board," and "Big Kahuna." Shayla and Alex told us to get the short board and share it, that it was bigger than we thought. So we did the first two times-and it was heaven. But for whatever reason when we went the other night I ordered a Big Kahuna-being in the mood since it'd been 6ish weeks since we went, and needing a sweet treat. Well I forgot how big they were! But it was $6 well spent.

My Birthday

 Some girls in our ward decorated our door the night before.... but Jared had me "find" it that night due to possible wind and neighbor kids.

We went to Red Robin for dinner (I got a free burger from signing up at their website-aka go do it!)

She zoned out and was just staring for 10 minutes and then gently her eyes closed.

After that we headed to Julie and Jill's to hang out for a while and get a Snoasis! We hung out with them for a few hours and got home pretty late, but in time to get to sleep for our big plans for today.

Temple Square

After Temple Square we headed to Primary Children's to visit Ismael and Kaylee and Ellie. It was so fun to visit with Ismael and Kaylee for almost 2 hours. I also got to see Ellie! She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I am amazed by Ismael and Kaylee's strength as they are going through this challenge. They are such great examples to us!

Orem Summer Fest

Friday June 8 we went to the Orem Summer Fest with Julie, Jill, Savanna and Kennedy. It was fun to just be out and walking around seeing the booths. Jared went on rides with Kennedy after Savanna did the two "scary ones" with her.
