Emery Turns 3

This girlie planned her birthday months in advance!  We (with Karissa and Emmaline) were coming home from Target one day and she started to tell us all of these plans so I told Karissa to take notes so we could fulfill her pink wishes. She woke up on her birthday to pink decorations everywhere, some balloons and her favorite cereal as well as donuts. She thought it was the greatest! My parents were down so we spent the day celebrating while her da-e was at work and then partied with him when he got home. He had the next day off and we continued to party.

Pink cupcakes and pink sherbet!

On Saturday we had a little party/bbq for her. She took invites around to people who she wanted to come. It was so fun! She even made sure to invite her buddy the Bishop. For her birthday she got "pink stuffs" and baby dolls. She was one happy 3 year old! She continues to tell people "I am 3 on my birthday then I will be 4!"

Cell Phone Update

WARNING: These pictures are completely out of order.

What we thought was a cold ended up being the flu. Poor Girlie has been sick so much lately.

She knew it was Halloween, I came downstairs to her eating candy for breakfast!

Best friends reading in Leland's bed.

Things must be lined up these days.

The nasty flu threw us all sorts of off our schedule.

James got a new little brother and Emery loves loves LOVES baby Isaac. She talks about him daily.

Da-e and Emery made a tape Christmas tree.

Sometimes when you're two falling asleep is hard (yes she's asleep)

"This one Da-e"

"Pee Pee Pie Nap-Kin!"

She came from her nap with all of these in her arms!

I love this kitchen helper!

She finally fell asleep, half hanging off, but asleep.

The elephant that joined us for some Halloween festivities.

There's nothing a burger can't fix.

First time at the movies, sorry super dark! If you highlight it, you can see it a bit better.

She learned to string pony beads.

She ALWAYS wants a blanket wrapped around her.

Waiting for James to come and play.

Cereal Lover.

A Trip to Cabella's

We took a trip to Cabella's the day before Halloween to see the "decorated" fish tank. It didn't have many decorations but the kids loved it anyways!

They also loved testing EVERYTHING out. :)

Enjoy the Journey.

A Staycation.

Sometime in early October (I believe) we went to Midway/Heber/Park City for the day with Felicia and Alex. It was a fun day!

Emery loved getting to play with Baby Aaa all day!

I'm so sad this pic got overexposed, their static hair was awesome!

Enjoy the Journey.

Surprise BIR-Day Party

A few weeks ago I threw a surprise party for Jessica, I figured the last in her 20's so we better do something fun! (and Jared suggested the party) I had arranged it with Scott, but didn't know the day of still how I was going to get her to our house. I used a couple of things: 1. I text her and told her she had to come see what I bought on KSL and that she was going to hate me because of it. 2. Scott called her and told her that I came and picked up Leland to play with Emery. He told her I picked him up at 4, and it was 8:30. I called her to find out where she was and she was so upset that I still had him and kept apologizing. She was getting off the exit and said she'd be right here. When she got here she asked what I bought and I told her she had to come in and see it. She was TOTALLY surprised and excited. It was a fun night!

Emery went to bed after she got here and for the entire week after (at least) she would walk around saying "Caca bir-day, hide, saaaaa-prrriiisseee!" It was darling!

A Trip to Idaho

[First off ignore my hair....]

In August we headed to Idaho for Julisa's bridal shower and to pack up all of our stuff for our parents. But the story really started a few weeks before. Jared was at work and thought "Hey I should text Zac" (his friend from high school), so he did. Throughout the conversation he learned that Zac was flying into town and would be in Idaho that same weekend so they decided they would meet up sometime. Then Jared asked him when he was flying in and Zac said that he was flying into SALT LAKE on Thursday at 5. Jared then realized it was a prompting. Zac's dad was going to drive down and pick him up and then drive back; that was the exact time we were headed out of town to Idaho. He offered Zac a ride and we killed two birds with one stone-a long drive and time to catch up with Zac.

The Sunday before when they announced the Ogden temple open house in sacrament meeting I told Jared that he should see if Zac was ok with stopping. Jared really didn't want to but then decided what could it hurt-if he said no then we could just go another time. I told Jared to be prepared for 23 year old Zac and not 16 year old Zac and that he probably would be fine with it. Zac was totally open to it and it was an awesome experience!

We got to answer a few questions, share our testimonies in a round about way, and most of all let him feel of the Spirit.

Emery loved being in the Temple and was pretty good, she just wanted to get down and walk, but hated the things on her shoes so we just carried her. She loved once again (flashback to the Brigham City Temple Open House)  the Celestial Room and the "pretty" lights. She was mesmerized, we loved getting to take her and will have a few more opportunities coming up with more temples close to us under construction/near completion!

The bridal shower was great, even though I got there 15 minutes late because I didn't know what time it really started....oops!

On Friday and then Saturday after the shower we packed, cleaned and de-junked (some). It was a bit stressful to get all of our stuff from our parent's but it was also really nice! It has been nice and not nice having it here. It is nice because there are things we forgot about, but also not nice because it is a lot of stuff to go through! We have FILLED my car TWICE and taken stuff to DI, sold some stuff, and still have more to go through!

Enjoy the Journey.
