Easter Festivities

Emery was so excited this morning at what the Easter bunny had brought her! The Easter bunny also managed to find Granpa an Granma at our house!

After we tried to hit a few yard sales, most were supposed to be open already but were closed, we headed to Smiths for an easter egg hunt.

She wasn't too sure about the Easter bunny.

But she was excited about donut holes and for the hunt!

She was sad when I told her that she had to wait until they told us that it was time.

There were a few eggs, but mostly it was a sea of candy.

She loved it! Yeah-mom fail... She didn't have an actual Easter basket... I couldn't find ours (they don't have a handle anyways) so she used a grocery sack.

She would stick with certain kinds of candy at a time. For example she has twelve smarties in her hands!

When we left there was still candy on the ground! She probably got about ten pounds of candy too! It was crazy. We have candy for the next year! Unless I take it to young women's or send it with Jared to work before then!

Enjoy the Journey.

"CUEEE"

The girlie wasn't happy that no one would answer her facetime calls the other day, and then she realized she could see herself on the computer and was happy! "CUEEEE" she repeated over and over.

Enjoy the Journey.

Dear Girlie,

Tonight you reminded me again how lucky I am to be your mom. This weekend we had Granpa and Granma here from Thursday evening until this afternoon. Also this afternoon Dad went and picked up Uncle Michael, Auntie Felicia, and (baby) Alex from the airport.

After Granpa and Granma left the other three passed out on the couch and we put your new bed together! We bought you a day bed today and after we got it all set up and I got your bed made I wanted to take it back. I can't believe how old you are getting!

Tonight Uncle Michael and Auntie Felicia did bedtime routine with us. When you prayed you prayed for Da-e and Mom and baby. It touched my heart. It was a witness to me that you really do understand the things that we are teaching you. You really do understand prayers and what they mean.

I really am so lucky to be your mom. You remind me of the truly important things in life. Thank you sweet girl!

I love you!

Love,

Mom

The Vineyard Duathalon

Jared and his boss did the Vineyard Duathalon last weekend with a time of 1:49:12. Don ran a 5k (22 min max... I don't know the exact time-speedy!!!), Jared biked 15 miles (1 hr), and then Don ran another 5k (27 min). They took second in their division.

Before

While we were waiting for the race to start.

Emery was a fabulous cheerleader!

She loved playing with Don while Jared rode.

Waiting for Don to come in.

She really wanted to be in the after the race picture. She was so proud of herself!

Enjoy the Journey.
