Random

Emery and I made Jared a Father's Day lunch right after church (before a nice dinner later) and it truly was a "Father's" day lunch... every piece of pepperoni has a bite out of it!

Emery's first day for gymnastics.  At Emery's birthday we talked to Clarissa (Bishop's daughter) about teaching Emery gymnastics because she had already taught her to do a somersault in like 30 minutes a few days previous. Emery now does gymnastics once a week in their front yard for 30 minutes (as long as she is healthy and we are in town.) She loves it!

Emery Turns 3

This girlie planned her birthday months in advance!  We (with Karissa and Emmaline) were coming home from Target one day and she started to tell us all of these plans so I told Karissa to take notes so we could fulfill her pink wishes. She woke up on her birthday to pink decorations everywhere, some balloons and her favorite cereal as well as donuts. She thought it was the greatest! My parents were down so we spent the day celebrating while her da-e was at work and then partied with him when he got home. He had the next day off and we continued to party.

Pink cupcakes and pink sherbet!

On Saturday we had a little party/bbq for her. She took invites around to people who she wanted to come. It was so fun! She even made sure to invite her buddy the Bishop. For her birthday she got "pink stuffs" and baby dolls. She was one happy 3 year old! She continues to tell people "I am 3 on my birthday then I will be 4!"

Countdown to Emery's Birthday

This year she was soooo excited for her birthday so we made a countdown for FHE. She loved taking a link off, or it was even better if we forgot and she got to take off multiple at a time.

Enjoy the Journey.

A little behind...

I promise I will get better at blogging again, if for nothing else journaling reasons. Life has been busy around here lately-more on that to come. Here are a few pics of Little Red from the other night when  Jared was taking pictures of a bike to sell and she was enjoying a Lofthouse sugar cookie (HER FAVORITE) and she jumped in for a few shots.

She is growing up too fast!

[For the Love] of Krispy Kreme

I am pretty sure it was when we headed up for Julisa and Daniel's wedding we stopped and got donuts to take. :) She always loves a trip to KK!!

A Trip to Idaho

[First off ignore my hair....]

In August we headed to Idaho for Julisa's bridal shower and to pack up all of our stuff for our parents. But the story really started a few weeks before. Jared was at work and thought "Hey I should text Zac" (his friend from high school), so he did. Throughout the conversation he learned that Zac was flying into town and would be in Idaho that same weekend so they decided they would meet up sometime. Then Jared asked him when he was flying in and Zac said that he was flying into SALT LAKE on Thursday at 5. Jared then realized it was a prompting. Zac's dad was going to drive down and pick him up and then drive back; that was the exact time we were headed out of town to Idaho. He offered Zac a ride and we killed two birds with one stone-a long drive and time to catch up with Zac.

The Sunday before when they announced the Ogden temple open house in sacrament meeting I told Jared that he should see if Zac was ok with stopping. Jared really didn't want to but then decided what could it hurt-if he said no then we could just go another time. I told Jared to be prepared for 23 year old Zac and not 16 year old Zac and that he probably would be fine with it. Zac was totally open to it and it was an awesome experience!

We got to answer a few questions, share our testimonies in a round about way, and most of all let him feel of the Spirit.

Emery loved being in the Temple and was pretty good, she just wanted to get down and walk, but hated the things on her shoes so we just carried her. She loved once again (flashback to the Brigham City Temple Open House)  the Celestial Room and the "pretty" lights. She was mesmerized, we loved getting to take her and will have a few more opportunities coming up with more temples close to us under construction/near completion!

The bridal shower was great, even though I got there 15 minutes late because I didn't know what time it really started....oops!

On Friday and then Saturday after the shower we packed, cleaned and de-junked (some). It was a bit stressful to get all of our stuff from our parent's but it was also really nice! It has been nice and not nice having it here. It is nice because there are things we forgot about, but also not nice because it is a lot of stuff to go through! We have FILLED my car TWICE and taken stuff to DI, sold some stuff, and still have more to go through!

Enjoy the Journey.

A New House.

The first time going into "OUR HOME". We were so excited and have loved it so much!

I don't know if I mentioned-E had Hand, Foot & Mouth (for the 3rd time) the first of the 2 weeks we were painting/projecting/ moving so I did all I could to keep her busy and get done what I could.

Sometimes it included no shirt. (side note the extra wood pieces awkwardly on the wall around the seat have been removed and a window seat has now taken their place. SOOO much better.)

And Emery took up the hobby of photography when Jared's parents came to help us paint (they were for sure put to use!).

Enjoy the Journey.
