Care Bear Stare!

(Yes my child is still in her nightgown eating lunch in this picture-we were too busy playing all morning to get dressed until right before nap time.)

We got invited to a Halloween party by our neighbors and I REALLY wanted to do a family costume. It took Jared a few days to go along with my crazy (pinterest found) idea but he finally did and I'm so glad!

Love-a-lot Bear

Harmony Bear and Love-a-Lot

Love-a-Lot and Grumpy Bear. (He's not grumpy, but there weren't many boy choices and the only sweats I could find to match were for this one. He did have the option to be a care bear cousin and be the dog, but he didn't think it fit.)

Dinosaur Museum

Last week we went to the Dinosaur Museum with some friends. It was fun, but would be more fun with older kids (Both of them have older children, besides one Emery's age). Since they have passes it only cost me $5 to get in, and Emery was free.

This was one of a few "hands-on" places where I felt she could get out and play (lame mom was not going to let her play in the sand and water with the dinosaurs, 5 year old children were slipping and smacking their heads on the cement!). All of the dinosaurs went in the same hole with some trying, but she was so happy!

When we got home she had to have a giant glass of water. (Even though I had water with us) She LOVES water lately and can't get enough. We have to do some begging to get her to eat and not just drink water the entire dinner time!

Granpa and Granma Fielding

Shortly before Granpa and Granma came for dinner on Friday night the Girlie wrote on her hand with the pen.

She couldn't get it off and was concerned, but too afraid to show the camera for a picture.

We're so glad that Granpa and Granma Fielding were able to come to dinner! It was so much fun! We didn't any pictures with Granpa, we were busy enjoying their company and barely remembered to grab it out to at least snap one picture! It was wonderful to get to visit with them and just have time with them!

Blood Draw

When she got her blood drawn she got coban with bees on it. She was "buzzing" at them. She wasn't too happy when she tried to pull it off herself and ended up pinching her arm.

Friends and Reading

Sophie came over the other day with the agreement that she could stay until Emery's daddy came home because then it would be time for dinner. The picture below is right when Jared came in the door, she jumped down and headed home without anyone saying anything. Jared actually thought she might be afraid of him because she ran out so quick!

A Project

I've slowly been taking t-shirts and putting them into a "t-shirt quilt" pile. After we moved I cut the fronts off the shirts that had blank backs, to save at lest some space. The other day I decided to take them all and cut them into "squares." They aren't the same at all, so we'll see how it comes together when I decide to sew it!

In the end I counted and that is a pile of 43 t-shirts! I can't believe how many we have! And we still have some in our drawers that we wear! That pile is only 6" tall! It felt so good to fill a complete trash can!

Dermatologist

Warning: We have the biggest cheese ever. All you have to do is say "smile" or even pull out a camera.

She rearranged the exam room while we were waiting... pushing everything around that she could.

I took Emery to the dermatologist yesterday morning and he said the same thing as Dr. Clark, viral exanthem. He did ask several times if we had pets (as he was looking at her spots), so I think he may think she has a mild pet allergy. The problem is she's not really around pets that often.
I wasn't super impressed with him overall, but I guess now we have another opinion.

Best Day

We had to go pick up a few groceries on Monday night and you would have thought it was the best day of Emery's life because she got to push her own grocery cart!

Life

On Monday we went for FHE to Orange Leaf for the first time. We used a gift card we got from Jared's parents, it would have been 2 years ago this Christmas.

First off, I promise she had a bow-when dad gets her out of the car he doesn't think about finding it and putting it back on.
We took Julie and Jill to the air port on Wed. morning and then met dad for lunch. We haven't gone out for ice cream in months and ended up going 2 times this week. It was so fun to see Jared in the middle of the day. Emery loved it as well! It did make us want a mini van though-well at least a bigger car so we're not looking at everyones tires all of the time.

Emery still has spots. I called the dr. again after talking to Chad and she ordered blood work and is referring us to a dermatologist. We went and got her blood drawn at the out patient lab at the hospital last night. She did great and was called a model patient. I had to send Jared out of the room because it obviously dealt with a needle, she cried when the poked her but was fine within 2 seconds of them pulling it out. Jared headed back when he heard her cry but she was fine by the time he got there. The nurse was fast and great! The office has the results already, we're just waiting on a phone call. The test was just to check her blood levels to make sure everything there was ok and didn't send up any red flags immediately. Her apt. with the derm. is on Tuesday morning, so we'll know more then for sure!

You have to do something to keep her busy while waiting. :)

Life via Cell Phone

A few pictures from lately off of my phone.

She has discovered opening the dishwasher, starting the dishwasher, etc. She puts her own dishes in as well, but the other day she discovered a new purpose for it.

She LOVES clip on ear rings.

She was my helper this morning.

I made Emery fake make up by pouring nail polish in my empty containers. She thought it was so cool and it makes my morning easier when I'm getting ready.

Dishes, Tigers, and Projects

The other day I couldn't get the place where the soap goes in the dishwasher to stay closed. It NEEDED to be run, but I couldn't figure it out. I emailed Jared about it but he said he'd look at it when he got home.So what did I do? Wash them by hand. When he came home he told me that he had apparently misread the email, all that needed to be fixed was it needed to be turned to "off" to stay shut. Oh well. We have very clean dishes now. :)

The girlie loves her tigers. This is where they have been sitting for a few days, she'll get up and play with them, get down from the chair and then do something else, only to come back later. :)

The next door neighbor turned 3 and brought us cupcakes. The girlie was so happy.

We're just starting to sand our bed! I'm so excited. When we moved we decided we wanted it stained darker, so it's been sitting in our garage for the last two months. Our goal is to get it done by the end of the month!
