Easter in Park City

We had a chill weekend in Park City for General Conference/Easter with Jared's parents and Julisa & Daniel. We explored the city, hit up our favorite places and enjoyed conference. Saturday morning we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had indeed found Emery in Park City, and spoiled her! We hurried off to Smiths for an egg hunt!

She was sooooo excited for it to start!

And then, she cried. Eventually she warmed up to it and...

made quite the haul! She got 7 actual eggs that were hid on top of cans. After we looked to see what was inside we wish we would have had her go for more eggs! They were coupons for free boxes of cookies, pudding, or fruit snacks!

They also had donuts, milk, and juice as well as cookies to decorate and pictures to color!

It was a fun weekend spent with good company!

Easter Egg Hunt

Some friends in our ward did a little Easter egg hunt and we were so excited we were invited! We were asked to bring 10ish eggs filled, it was perfect because we had 12 eggs left from last year!

Getting ready to go, not really sure what it meant (I dropped the ball on getting her excited for Easter this year).

We sorted them and counted them when we got home. SHE LOVED IT! She was practicing for days after how it goes and what you do when they say go, etc. She was most excited about the sparkly eggs! I'm so glad we went, it was so fun!

Thanksgiving

We had a really low-key Thanksgiving, but it was nice. My parents were down, and we invited Aunt Glady & LeAnn to join us. It was a lovely meal, and we were ready way beforehand! It was nice to have a relaxing morning and not feel rushed! Jared made pecan tarts in the morning and after getting everything ready Emery wanted to help so my mom helped her put them into the pan. They turned out delicious!

Jared went with my mom to get a 6:00 deal-we hated the time but have been looking for a tramp for soooo long and it was a killer deal!

Karissa and Adam came back from Twin Falls that night late and then Jared, Adam and my mom headed out for some shopping Adam wanted to do at Kohl's. Friday was spent just hanging out, then Saturday the Banks family joined us for lunch and the afternoon. It was good to see them, but unfortunately I didn't get my camera out. Emery loved getting to see Julia especially and playing outside in the dirt with the kids.

Halloween

When she woke up she must have known it was Halloween because she immediately went down and ate some of the candy she got from the day before at trick or treating at the outlets.
In the afternoon, we got to Jared's work and go trick or treating. Emery loved it and no one could believe how cute she was! We headed home when we finished and hit up a little party, then out for more trick or treating! She knew what candy to pick without even being taught! I think she ended up with 30 reeses peanut butter cups!

We hit a few homes in our old ward, a few in our new, and a few in Julie & Jill's. We hurried home to facetime with grandparents before we stuck the girlie in bed and put 3/4 of her candy up in the cupboard. The next morning, she didn't even know it. Oh to be two.

4th of July

On the Fourth we woke up and went to Idaho Falls for the parade. Em loved it but hated when it was loud. She went between the three of us the entire time. She also loved it when she got "Can-E Frow!"

We went home and all took naps and then had dinner. That evening we headed up to our "spot" for fireworks!

Brianne was so kind as to share her fries with Emery... well.... after the first one I don't know that she had a choice but to share. :)

She loved Emmaline's stroller.

The group... plus the two photo-bombers in the back.

I have NO DOUBT Granma was with us during the fireworks. I teared up several times because I could feel her presence so strongly. I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father lets the veil be thin sometimes. It was a beautiful night!

This one's for you Alicia!

Sorry about the eyes on you Mom... after we got home we grabbed the fireworks and watermelon and headed to Sister Young's to keep up with tradition!

It was a great day!

Bowling

We took Emery bowling for the first time over the weekend of the 4th. She LOVED it. We're going to have to use our pass of all passes to go more often!

Lehi Round Up Days

There are City celebrations like every weekend for a month in the area. Because Yard Sales are on Saturdays we haven't hit any of them. Lehi Round-Up days rolled around and Jared was helping a family move and that meant no yard sales in Lehi so I asked Karissa and Emmaline if they wanted to join us!

The parade pre-show was a wild west themed show, she hated it because of the guns. It was "youd mommy."

I ended up with a (very strange, as Jared thinks) tan from my sleeves being up to my undershirt.

Jill met us at the parade and saved the day by bringing sunscreen. Karissa and I both forgot but Jill hadn't left when I called and I'm so glad! A fried girlie would have been the worst!

Emery loved the parade after the firetrucks and cop cars. I loved it when all of the sudden I heard her say "Mommy! HOLA! Mommy! Hola!" and I looked and realized one of the floats had Olaf on it.

For the next week she kept telling me "Momma, can-e, frow! (as she shows me how) Youd! Ma My! Kra Kra, Jill, can-e fros! Hola!" She seriously loved it and now I'm sad we didn't make it to the other city celebrations. Oh well! We made it to the Fourth of July parade...

Enjoy the Journey.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to this guy. He's the best dad we could ask for in our home! Jared is so kind, patient, loving... the list goes on and on.

He is truly my best friend, and I have loved watching him become the dad that he is. I love watching him with Emery and how she lights up when he comes home from work. We're so thankful for Da-E!

Enjoy the Journey.

More Easter

Easter Sunday we headed to Julie and Jill's for egg dying, dinner and an egg hunt. Emery LOVED dying the eggs!

She was so proud of her egg!

Savanna's teaching her the art of "selfies" young.

This is how she feels when she's jumping. She gets so excited.

She LOVED finding the eggs! Her basket was overflowing and she was the happiest! Everyone else was trying to find the money eggs so Emery and I had the back yard to ourselves, when they came back from the front they noticed she'd collected most of the eggs.

Look at these eggs mom!

Yes, her dress does have bikes on it! My mom and I hit a killer sale at JCP and ended up getting 16 things for less than $50 with sales and coupons. Best deal you ask? My $5 peacoat that had an original $200 sticker on it. BOOM!

I love this girlie!

(side note/story, see on her right nostril -left looking at the pic- she has a scab. While we were at Jared's church ball game she face bounced/fell down three steps and banged herself up pretty good. She only wanted "Ama" after it happened and my mom and I were pretty surprised she didn't do more damage!)
