[For the Love] of Cereal

Emery went through about a month and a half phase where she wanted "Da-E Cereal Kind" for just about every meal. It didn't really matter what kind of cereal it was, as long as it was Da-E's.

[For the Love] of Krispy Kreme

I am pretty sure it was when we headed up for Julisa and Daniel's wedding we stopped and got donuts to take. :) She always loves a trip to KK!!

[For the Love] of Taco Soup

The pictures say it all.

Enjoy the Journey.

[For the Love] of Corn on the Cob

She can eat an entire ear on her own! She loves it!

These are old pictures as I am REALLY behind on blogging. She hasn't had an outbreak like this again on her face, so we're talking mid May old.

[For the Love]: Of Yogurt and Cereal

This girl is entirely too old lately. She always lets me know exactly what she wants and often by getting it out herself. Oh child locks... if you had only kept her out a while longer! :)

And sometimes she's the resident puppy.

She has a LOVE for cereal lately! This morning our milk had magically been turned green! I showed her and she yelled "NOOOO! NOOOO!" then Jared told her that it was silly and it was St. Patrick's Day! They started to giggle together and she kept saying "Silly."

[For the Love] of P Words: Panties, Planking, and Piggy Tails.

The girlie is officially potty trained! It took a few days, but she's rocking it! She thinks she's hot stuff in her panties too!

Below is what I shared with friends on facebook when they asked how I did it so fast/young.

Emery has been going on the toilet since she was 12 mo.
I noticed, or finally put thought to something that had been happening for a while, she had been waking up dry in the morning and after naps, so I'd hurry and take her and she'd go on the toilet.
We bought the kind of seat that goes on the toilet (I think it was like $12 at Walmart), because I didn't want the potty that would take up lots of space, and she was TERRIFIED (at that point) of just sitting on the toilet (like we'd try to hold her on and she would cry and scream).
On the 11th we were at Walmart and I decided to buy her panties. We came home and I put them on over her diaper and she thought she was the coolest ever. We told people to have her show them her panties and she'd get so excited.
She wore them over her diaper all weekend then last Monday I let her wear them without the diaper. I took her about every 2 hours and she had a couple accidents, but I would show her her wet panties and say "uh oh" and she would repeat it and sit on the potty anyways (and just a bit longer than normal so I could be sure her bladder was empty, sometimes she'd go and sometimes she wouldn't).
She'd try to say "potty" but it also sounded similar to "bye bye" so sometimes we'd take her and she wouldn't do anything because we misunderstood her. After a few accidents she started crossing her legs, holding herself and saying "uh oh" but she would be dry. That was her telling me she needed to go.
We've gone 6.5 days with no accidents now.
I've been putting a diaper on her while she sleeps, and if we're out, but she's been holding it and is still dry every time. I think we're literally 6.5 days with the same diaper.
We also made a really big deal out of it every time she went, doing high-5's and fist bumps and she'd smile and get so excited.

We've been doing a couple "30 Day Challenges" and Emery tries to help us. In these pictures she is trying to plank with her Daa-ee.

Side note: this belt was a fashion statement for a week... with everything she wore.

And the other day I put pig tails in her hair. They looked adorable, but grew her up toooooo much, especially since it was during potty training week!

This girl is simply my favorite. I'm so glad I get to be her mom.

Enjoy the Journey.

[For the Love] of Alfredo

Jared and I have different favorite alfredo recipes... so we switch off. The beauty of being sick=getting to eat your favorite recipes because they sound good and you've been living off of chicken noodle soup.

But the girlie loves it no matter which recipe...

[For the Love] of Apples

One in each hand... that's how we roll around here.

Enjoy the Journey.

[For the Love] of Toast

I was sick last week and wanted toast. Then I took a bite and didn't want it and we discovered the girlie LOVES toast!

[For the Love] of Peanut Butter

The girlie had her first peanut butter & jelly this week and thought it was pretty fabulous... especially when she discovered she could tear it apart and eat the peanut butter off the bread. Since then, I skip the jelly and give her a piece of bread with peanut butter on it. She definitely takes after Jared and I with this love.

And these days we're getting a whole lot of this, "Really mom/dad" look.

Enjoy the Journey.
