Manti Pageant

We went to the Manti Pageant a few weeks ago and met some friends there! It was awesome!

We got to the point that whatever would keep her busy I was ok with... even if it fell out of my bag from my Rite Aid trip.

During our prayer for dinner I asked that we would have a safe evening and that we could enjoy it, but went on to specifically ask that we would travel to and from in safety. PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED. On the way there we missed a head on by about 100 feet. A car decided to pass a semi even though we were coming... it was scary.

On the way back, at about 12:30 we hit a deer. It was coming and we saw it, Jared's first reaction was to swerve right, but it sped up, so he swerved left and it froze. We hit it's back end, and the only damage done was a bent license plate, and some damage in the wheel well. We were so thankful but it certainly got our hearts racing!

Emmaline's Blessing

Emmaline was blessed on July 7th and we had the opportunity to go! After Sacrament we had a little lunch at Aunt Sherry's house. Emery enjoyed running around the yard, jumping on the tramp with Steph, and playing in the play house.

We're so thankful she's in our family!

My mom did a fabulous job on her dress-staying up til 2 a.m. to finish it. I made her bow, bracelet, and pacifier clip (not pictured-just simple double ruffle ribbon).

Our [strange] 4th of July

When you wake up to a child throwing up at 5:45 in the morning your day goes differently than planned. We think she just had a bit of heat stroke (our car  has a terrible time getting the ac to the back, so I think the ride was hot for her-which I feel terrible about). So for the 4th we didn't do anything! It was nice at the same time though! We had a BBQ with Karissa and Adam and my parents and just hung out!

Too Tired [A Clever Plan]

Acting like you're too tired to eat your dinner, by falling asleep over an hour before your bed time is a good way to get....

ice cream, because your parents don't want to be up in the middle of the night or earlier than normal. Bribed she was and it worked!

Bikes

For a while we had 3 different bike seats for the girlie. We had the kind that went behind your seat, the kind that goes between you and the handlebars and now we have a bike trailer. We sold the one for behind the seat (tripling our money!), so now we just have two. She LOVES the one that goes between Jared and his handlebars, but she is still a bit apprehensive about the trailer. One thing's for sure, she LOVES bike rides!

Orem Summer Fest

Last year I was very very pregnant when we went to the summer fest! (We went on the 8th and she was born on the 11). This year it was so fun to have a 1 year old with us! 

We went with my friend Gretchen and her family (minus her husband who is doing an internship for the BYU MBA program at Ford in Detroit).

And you can never miss the opportunity to capture a great mullet-this one's dedicated to you Chad and Mike.
