Idaho Thanksgiving

Chad and Lisa and the kids were able to come for Thanksgiving. We spent a lot of time playing, laughing, cooking, sewing, cleaning, and visiting Emmaline in the hospital. The kids spent a lot of time LOVING Emery. She is blessed with cousins that can't get enough of her.

We decided it was time to try rice cereal. She always watches you eat so we thought it was time. She LOVED it. (And still can't get enough of it!)

Unlike Chad who spent the day throwing up... we had a great Thanksgiving!

During the week of Thanksgiving this was her new thing. She would just open her mouth as wide as she could! I think she learned it from my dad.... luckily it only lasted about a week and a half to two weeks.

Halloween

Baron Photography did free Halloween pictures if you brought in a can of food for the food bank. Karissa and I went down and got pictures taken. Emery is such a doll!

Patience

This week I am studying patience. I came across this quote and really liked it.

“We should learn to be patient with ourselves. Recognizing our strengths and our weaknesses, we should strive to use good judgment in all of our choices and decisions, make good use of every opportunity, and do our best in every task we undertake. We should not be unduly discouraged nor in despair at any time when we are doing the best we can. Rather, we should be satisfied with our progress even though it may come slowly at times.”

Emmaline Nicole Wilson

Sunday  November 4 Emmaline Nicole Wilson was born 9 weeks early at 10:25 a.m.. She weighed 3lbs 8oz and is 15 3/4 in long with a head full of dark hair. Karissa was admitted to the hospital on Friday after having her fluid level drop from a 7 to a 4 in only four days. Sunday she had no fluid left so they decided it was time for Emmaline to come. Because she was breech Karissa had to have a c-section. She is in the NICU but seems to be doing great. She is already feisty and stubborn! We love her so much already!

Lovelock

I went with my parent's to Lovelock for Parker's Primary Program. He sang a solo! It was so cute to see him barely taller than the pulpit. He sang all 3 verses of Nepi's Courage with the primary joining on the chorus. I love what he said afterwards to Lisa, "When I sat down I felt like Jesus was standing next to me." What a testimony of a 5 year old!!! Here are some pictures from our adventure. :)

She was bound and determined to carve this pumpkin for Emery.

He got comfortable and took a seat on Emery's lap.

Shooting with Dad, Chad and Parker.

My dad's gun that just got fixed. It hasn't worked since he was in high school. He was more than a little excited. :)

Parker made a nice "collection" of bullets at the range.
