A Trip to Idaho

[First off ignore my hair....]

In August we headed to Idaho for Julisa's bridal shower and to pack up all of our stuff for our parents. But the story really started a few weeks before. Jared was at work and thought "Hey I should text Zac" (his friend from high school), so he did. Throughout the conversation he learned that Zac was flying into town and would be in Idaho that same weekend so they decided they would meet up sometime. Then Jared asked him when he was flying in and Zac said that he was flying into SALT LAKE on Thursday at 5. Jared then realized it was a prompting. Zac's dad was going to drive down and pick him up and then drive back; that was the exact time we were headed out of town to Idaho. He offered Zac a ride and we killed two birds with one stone-a long drive and time to catch up with Zac.

The Sunday before when they announced the Ogden temple open house in sacrament meeting I told Jared that he should see if Zac was ok with stopping. Jared really didn't want to but then decided what could it hurt-if he said no then we could just go another time. I told Jared to be prepared for 23 year old Zac and not 16 year old Zac and that he probably would be fine with it. Zac was totally open to it and it was an awesome experience!

We got to answer a few questions, share our testimonies in a round about way, and most of all let him feel of the Spirit.

Emery loved being in the Temple and was pretty good, she just wanted to get down and walk, but hated the things on her shoes so we just carried her. She loved once again (flashback to the Brigham City Temple Open House)  the Celestial Room and the "pretty" lights. She was mesmerized, we loved getting to take her and will have a few more opportunities coming up with more temples close to us under construction/near completion!

The bridal shower was great, even though I got there 15 minutes late because I didn't know what time it really started....oops!

On Friday and then Saturday after the shower we packed, cleaned and de-junked (some). It was a bit stressful to get all of our stuff from our parent's but it was also really nice! It has been nice and not nice having it here. It is nice because there are things we forgot about, but also not nice because it is a lot of stuff to go through! We have FILLED my car TWICE and taken stuff to DI, sold some stuff, and still have more to go through!

Enjoy the Journey.

A New House.

The first time going into "OUR HOME". We were so excited and have loved it so much!

I don't know if I mentioned-E had Hand, Foot & Mouth (for the 3rd time) the first of the 2 weeks we were painting/projecting/ moving so I did all I could to keep her busy and get done what I could.

Sometimes it included no shirt. (side note the extra wood pieces awkwardly on the wall around the seat have been removed and a window seat has now taken their place. SOOO much better.)

And Emery took up the hobby of photography when Jared's parents came to help us paint (they were for sure put to use!).

Enjoy the Journey.

Bee-hind.

Moving, a wedding, a vacation, etc.... it all put me behind in the blogging world. I'm working on it. Sadly I haven't taken many pictures during this time so most of them are cell phone pictures. BUT I am posting and trying to get caught up. Be sure to click older posts to be sure to catch them all.

Enjoy the Journey.

Post Move Cell Phone Pictures

Post move cell phone pictures.  Again these are in all sorts of order, but it's hard to move them in blogger, or I'm lazy... you choose. ;)

This was an ad in a newspaper when I was little and when you pressed the button it light up. The last time I found it (a few years ago) it still worked. This time it didn't, either way I would have done the same thing, taken a picture and chucked it. I thought it was sooo cool when I was little!

Found these cleaning.... pretty old but E loved them!

"I hold Mommy hand go potty." This is true motherhood right here.... can't go to the bathroom alone.

Jared found this ottoman at a yardsale Julisa's wedding weekend for $10 and it is PERFECT for our living room!

She sleeps so much better in our bed....

She loves to call Jessica on the phone.... "Hi CACA!"

She always tells me what to write.... She's getting pretty good at remembering everyone!

Rio is her new favorite!

Folding laundry and I looked down and found this... she's my favorite.

Karissa and I went thrifting and found the grand opening of a new thrift store where the waffle truck also was. We ran into Emily and then Seneca so it was a lot of fun!

Dancing Queen!

Don't you always hold hands to eat?

Vet Emery!

Vet Emery!

Emery used these (mini) as a straightener on Karissa's hair.

Playing while we tried to eat our waffles.

Ready for her first Sunday in the new ward.

Quite the fashionista.

Dresses and boots!

Reading to her baby.

She was into layering for a good week... two pair of panties (all week long) and skirts with dresses some days.

"Mommy I wear cuuuueeee piiiii dress?"

Rockstar.

Because brushing your teeth gets so exhausting...

Doing her makeup while mom did her own in the bathroom.

Her favorite way to go grocery shopping now.... It isn't my favorite-she hops on and off continually. I try to only let her do it when Jared is with us.

Here's to getting caught up on the blog!

Enjoy the Journey.
