Idaho

We went to Idaho a couple weekends ago for Jared to get his birthday present (a gun) and his conceal and carry permit. It was a fun trip! When we got there Wednesday night my dad got Emery giggling for a good half an hour. She thought he was so funny, and they ended up having several laughing spells while we were there.

We visited Grammy and I painted her nails.

Granma had to get her top teeth pulled in January and doesn't have her "real" dentures yet. She opened the door without them and it was frightening. But I made her put them in and it wasn't much better because the temp. ones she has are too big for her mouth.

But she did take them out for a picture for me. Also if you haven't seen Granma lately, she's lost A TON of weight. She hardly eats anymore and it is showing. :(

Then we got to go see Aunt Karissa and Miss Emmaline.

We've missed this girl!!! She is still so tiny and so sweet and in my opinion a little Wilson.

Kisses

While we were at Wal*Mart we found towels on clearance. My good friend Janel makes adorable RubaDub Buddies and so we called her up. She ended up coming up and she bought 6 cartfuls of towels! It saved her a ton of money! So once again we were Wal*Mart crazies...

When we visited Jared's parents they put her in the jumper and she loved it!

IKEA

A few weeks ago we went with our friends the Steele's to IKEA. It was a lot of fun, and we spent like 3 hours there.

Holding hands whenever we would stop, too bad they don't have the double carts like Sam's Club. :)

Em fell asleep in my arms and woke up with an elf ear.

This trip was full of Tender Mercies. As we were walking around, the Steeles found a table that they loved. They weren't planning on buying a table because they were getting lights so they wrote down the info so they could get it next paycheck. Well we finished our shopping and were about to check out when Jared and I told them that we were going to look in the Clearance section. They had never realized that IKEA had a clearance section before. When they came over to check it out they found their table for $40 cheaper with a slight scuff on the top! They knew that they had to get it because IKEA doesn't have "sales". We were trying to figure out a way to get it home when our friends the Neals, from the ward also, walked up. It just so happened they had borrowed Dave's dad's truck that day and offered to take it for them! It was a fun trip and it was so great to  be reminded about how the Lord's hand is in even the simplest of things. :)

When the dad wakes her up

Apparently she asks for her picture to be taken...

And then asks for a picture with dad.

When the Girlie Sleeps

We should have put something next to this to show you the size, but this happens every time she sleeps. She sweats like crazy no matter what when she sleeps. This spot is about a foot in size.

Still being swaddled, but she's so cute when she starts to get her hands up. :)

If she's really out then she spits her pacifier out and has an open mouth.

New Favorites

The fridge is a constant go to these days for this little one.

As you can tell from her petite size we just don't feed her.

Shoulder rides.

Sunglasses-it only took the first 30 seconds of the first 2 times I put them on her for her to realize that they have a fabulous purpose and she leaves them on. :)

This one isn't new but, the girlie still loves being upside down. :)

Hobbies

My hobbies have been good to me lately. :)

All of this (plus new headlight bulbs for my car) for $14.40

I forgot to take a before pic, so my before is halfway done. We got this dress from Jared's parents for Em and I found fabric and put sleeves in it for $0.80!!! I am very pleased with how it turned out.

A Sunday

The Atonement

Today in Relief Society our lesson was on the Atonement. To start the lesson Sister Lawson asked what came to mind when we heard "Atonement." My answer came without a moment's hesitation "we are never alone and He knows exactly what we are going through."

This has been such a large part of my life in the past year, and even more in Sept-Nov. Those were dark months in my life. Darker than I ever imagined I would experience and a place I never want to revisit again. During this time my family rallied around me to keep reminding me that He knows exactly what I was going through.

Of course life is never easy and now that that has passed there is something different to take it's place-highs and lows-as there always is. But something that I try to remind myself everyday is that my Savior knows exactly what I am going through. He knows my strengths and my weaknesses and knows what I need and when I need it. He knows when I will break down and what to do when that happens. He knows that I need people in other wards to talk to me at church because rarely anone in our ward does. He knows that it makes me feel special that the 79ish year old lady in our ward (that no one else can stand) remembers every detail that I tell her and even notices the fact that I dyed my hair. He knows every detail about my life, every insecurity, every fear, every doubt, every concern, every joy, EVERYTHING.

It is through the Atonement that we are made whole. It is through the Atonement that I was made whole after months of darkness and doubt.

I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who KNOW.
