In March Jared and I went on a little get-away. My mom came down Thursday afternoon and Jared and I left when he got home from work. We headed to Midway to
The Crater to go for a swim/soak. We were so lucky because we didn't make reservations but the guy opened up another time slot since he was going to have scuba divers there anyways! We had a few minutes so we run over to our hotel and checked in. The crater soak was awesome! I was a bit nervous at first to go into the "open" part but you have to wear life jackets there so it was fine. It is hour-glass shaped so there is a tiny hole in the bottom that scuba divers can go through into the next level. It was crazy for it to be dark under us and then see lights all of the sudden from the divers coming up from the bottom part.
Jared loved the lobby at the Zermatt. There was a NuSkin conference going on there as well as a 3 Key Elements conference. There were people from all over the world and we heard so many different languages!

After we checkout out we walked over the crater then checked out a cute fabric store. We were headed to our two favorite thrift stores which happen to be in Midway and Heber when the car started to sound really funny. We pulled into a little brake/tire place and they confirmed what Jared guessed-our roters were shot. While they were checking them out though we got to listen to the guy on the phone and could tell he was SUPER honest, so we felt like we weren't getting ripped off to get them done there. We walked to some cute little shops while they worked on the car (Jared said the first time the roters have been replaced on Granma's car... so it was time). Thirty minutes later they told us that they were done and it would be $260. Unexpected, but quick and they were honest. We headed to the thrift stores, grabbed some yummy lunch at Pizzera Galleria, then headed to Park City!
Upon checking into our room at the Hyatt we discovered this.... a pair of teenage boy boxer-briefs out on our balcony. So I called the front desk and they told us they could do one of two things 1. have housekeeping come and do another clean or 2. move us. I asked if we'd be upgraded if we moved and they checked and said that they could move us to a 1 bedroom suite!
Jared and I aren't the "take a picture of your hotel room" type of people, but this suite was INCREDIBLE! Our own kitchen, laundry (had we needed it), huge bathroom and tub, walk in closet, two fireplaces... it really was amazing. We felt like we were wasting it since we were only going to be there one night!
After moving rooms we headed back out to Explore Park City.
We went on the free lift which was fun, I was just a bit nervous as it took off and then went in when you got to the top. (Love the wind blown mustache!)
Then we headed to historic main. They had one really cool art gallery where the pictures were printed on something that optimized the light. Jared LOVED this picture and has dreams of owning it one day.
At the Family History Center/Visitor's Center. It is the only one that is not connected to a historical site or temple. When the olympics came to Utah President Hinckley felt the need for one to be right in Park City and the man said that they stay incredibly busy year round! He talked about how it was such an incredible experience and a fulfillment of his patriarchal blessing to serve there.

Friday night we were amazed that the pool/hot tub were empty so we headed down there. There was one other family in the opposite hot tub. We enjoyed a few minutes and then it was a blizzard! It was crazy, but at the same time kinda fun.
Saturday morning we hit an estate sale and then headed back to see the Girlie. Of course she had fun with Granma, got spoiled like crazy by getting to stay up late (but not too late), sleep with Granma in the morning and watch High School Musical!
We're thankful my mom was able to come and watch her and to not have to worry about if she was happy. We had a fabulous time but we were glad to see the Girlie again... We missed her!
