6 Month Pictures

Sherri Baron has been doing Emery's pictures every 3 months! We LOVE how her six month ones turned out! Emery smiles on demand if anyone tells her she is cute or pulls out a camera!

Meeting Emmaline

Emery got to meet Emmaline for the first time when we came back to Idaho for Christmas break!

I love holding this tiny girl! Every time I do I just am amazed that her tiny body can be so perfect and function. It is a reminder to me of the miracle of birth and Heavenly Father's hand in everything!

The size difference-this still doesn't really show how tiny she is! BUT good news is today we found out Emmaline is up to 6lbs 6oz!

Black Eye

On the 13th I was folding laundry while Jared was gone taking a final. When I fold laundry Emery is generally on the floor next to me so I give her all of the socks to play with while I fold the rest. Of course I had to take pictures!

After I finished folding I had to run to the bathroom (right off the living room). I was literally only gone ONE minute but as I was flushing the toilet I heard a little whimper. I walked into the living room to find her still breathing in prepping for a big cry. She had crawled (yes I knew she could army crawl) over to the recliner (like 3 feet from where I left her) and had apparently pulled our camera down onto her... hitting her eye. It was bleeding, swollen and black and blue already.

It was one of those "I feel like an awesome mom" moments. (the other time I have had one of these moments it was 10:30 p.m. and I realized I hadn't changed her since noon..... oops) So we cuddled, she fell asleep, then it was time to leave for activity days.... BUT she was happy the rest of the day!

It was warm enough to still go on walks but cold enough that extra blankets, hat, and mittens were required.

She thinks she is so cool when she gets to sit in the high chair AND eat rice cereal.

A bunch of people had told us to get a washcloth wet and then freeze it and let her chew on it. She seemed to like it.

Early Christmas

On December 1st we got to open a few presents from Jared's presents. It was fun to see Em's reaction to wrapping paper-immediately in the mouth!

Setting up the Christmas Tree

 The Monday after we got back from Idaho we set up our Christmas tree! I love how easy our tree is to set up (3 pieces) even if it is kinda short (the box says 6.5 feet but I am taller than it if we don't put it on something).

Over Thanksgiving break Lisa and I made stockings for our family with my mom's help. She did a TON of the sewing (I don't actually think I sewed any of mine). :) I love how they turned out!

6 Months

Little Miss Em is 6 months old! I can't even believe how fast it has gone! 

At 6 months she:

*Is about to fully crawl-she gets up on her knees and rocks, or up on her hands and feet with her bum in the air.

*Is getting her first tooth (front left)

*Is 90% for height (27.5in) and 83% for weight (17 lbs)

*Is a total momma's girl. I think we are starting to go through some separation anxiety stuff. She seriously cries hard sometimes when I walk past her or if someone else has her and she realizes I am not there.
*Is doing the army crawl.

We love her so much and are thankful she is in our family!

 Emery was sick while we were in Idaho for Thanksgiving... I could tell because she slept without being wrapped up.
