Dear Girlie,

Your body has been through a lot lately sweet girl. Your spots have been the worst they've ever been. You're itching them like crazy, they're on your trunk, your face, and they've crossed into your privates. It's heartbreaking to see you itching constantly. You've been in our bed most of the night almost every night for the past 3 weeks.

I took you to an allergist last Thursday. It is actually where Aunt Bethany works! She wrote on the paper of the exam chair for you and gave you stickers! The allergist confirmed that it isn't an allergy, so now we have two things completely confirmed, it isn't cancer and it isn't an allergy. He ordered some blood work and told us to take it to our apt. at the peed derm. at Primary's.

Yesterday was your apt. at Primary's. Dr. V. has no idea what is causing your spots. She did two biopsy's which was heartbreaking. I had to hold you belly to belly again in the exam chair while she did it. Afterwards though the nurse brought you a purple blanket with "ca qua and bub els!"(ducks and bubbles) on it. You have been attached to it since she brought it, immediately exclaiming "Momma, kol!" meaning that you wanted me to wrap you up. So I did and carried you out all wrapped up in it and everyone gave me crazy looks because it was so hot outside, you were happy though and that was all that mattered.

We went downstairs and waited for your blood work. I may have tricked you a bit, you walked right in front of me and handed the lady the paperwork. She was so fast at drawing your blood and got it on the first try even though you were so sad.

Today you only remember where your blood was drawn, and occasionally look at your arm and say "ow." I'm so glad that you don't remember your biopsy's because those are much worse. You're also a bit of a crying mess today. I have a big list of things to do but they're not happening. We're now cuddling on the couch watching "Sophia the First".

Girlie, I hope we get some answers soon about your spots. My heart just breaks for you every time you get new ones.

I love you Girlie,

Kara

Cell Phone Update

We got to babysit "Baby Cory", it was so fun! We love him! All Em wanted to do was hold him and he just wanted to run away!

A quick trip to the dino museum with dad!

Rockin the hat. She was so proud of herself.

My bologna has a first name, it's o-s-c-a-r...
Apparently this is one of Jared's bucket list items and we stumbled upon it and checked it off!

She hates it when I blowdry my hair.

Our longest days are when it is 9 a.m. and she's already asking for "Da-e".

She loves the dino museum!

This dress was given to her by a family Jared home teaches. It's cuter in person!

Thanksgiving Point Farm.

Best $5 investment we've had this summer so far!

My helper when I get ready in the mornings!

Watermelon for breakfast is totally and completely acceptable.

She only ever sat in this chair about five time and two of the times she put it up on the couch and the chair.

Mom bought her new shades when we went shopping with Granma!

She took Granma clothes to try on.

She likes to smell Jared's bike tires when we walk out into the garage.

Yogurt with honey bunches of oats are a new favorite!

Leland is one of Emery's new BFF's.

I got a nasty eye infection..... believe it or not my eye did get worse than this. yuck.

Jessica was so kind to watch her while I ran to the eye dr. Emery didn't even care that I left!

Story of my life lately... I've made 12 batches this season so far and still need to get a few more done tomorrow!

This girlie got sick and hated her meds. This is what she did every single time. And she had to have it 2x a day.

She loves that Leland has a pool... even when it is 50 degrees outside.

I went with Jessica to a quilting show that her dad was a vendor at so we got in free. The quilting on this quilt and the one below (two different but same fabrics) was incredible!

I recently bought a quilting machine for an incredible deal, and this really makes me want to keep learning and improving my skill and eventually get one I can program. These two were done by a robot machine but they were so incredible.

Enjoy the Journey.

Thanksgiving Point Farm

A few weeks ago after Jared got home from work we went to the Thanksgiving Point Farm. I'm so glad we bought a pass this year! If we had to pay full price it would be something that we'd do a few times, but is so expensive. It was definitely worth our $130 for the pass!

Emery rode a horse for the first time and thought it was pretty cool! They do 4 laps total, after about 2 though she was done.

Cutes inmate in the jail!

Bugged...

A few weeks ago I told my friend that I would bring her dinner. I knew she was expecting, although she hadn't told me yet, and was so worn out and tired all of the time. I decided I would try a new recipe for Cheddar Broccoli Soup that looked super easy. I made it, took her dinner and came home and started getting enough for us to all eat. Emery dumped her entire bowl down her leg and onto the floor on accident so things got delayed. After I had ate about a cup I told Jared that  the little black bits that looked like broken off broccoli weren't broccoli I didn't think. He went upstairs and got a magnifying glass and confirmed my suspicion. My brand new bag of broccoli was BUGGED. I was sick to my stomach. I was too embarrassed to call my friend so I had Jared call her. Luckily she hadn't ate yet so we told her to just throw it away. I was sick to my stomach for the rest of the night. They were TINY bugs, but bugs none the less. We called Sam's the next day and they gave us a $20 gift card.

I've never had an "embarrassing moment" before, and now I do! Plus a good story to share!

Enjoy the Journey.

First Time Riding a Bike!

We bought Emery a sweet Specialized bike for her first birthday (Garage sale find of course!).  She has seen it hanging in the garage every day and was excited when I got it down yesterday.  She helped me put the training wheels on and then we spent a few hours over the course of the day learning to ride it!  She was able to go by herself some; she will be a superstar in no time! -Jared

Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point

On Friday we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point with Julie and Jill.  Everything was beautiful and we were too busy to take many pictures.

The vendors were out for the beautiful day so Jill bought some mini donuts (Which the girlie loved!) and we bought some fresh stroopwafels.

A few misc. pictures

Last week we went to "The Farm" at Thanksgiving Point with Jill's preschool. After realizing a mis-communication we got there and met up with them. See that girlie lined up with the rest of the kids? When she's around them she thinks she's just as old as them. It was killing me.

Last Saturday we went yard-saling in the POURING rain. But it was an awesome day. We actually filled our car!

Sometimes you do what you can to get your child to eat dinner, this night, she ate in the buck.

Enjoy the Journey.

Bubble Machine

The Easter Bunny nailed it. The bubble machine was a hit!

(please excuse her homeless hair, this was a super windy day so nothing was working.)

Enjoy the Journey.
