Cell Phone Update

Sorry again for them being so blurry. Here is a little cell phone update from our last week.

In April we were at DI and they had a text survey to get 20% off your purchase (I know it's DI, but we did it anyways). I got a phone call while we were at G&G Jones that I had won a $25 gift card for participating! WOOT!

This one is terribly blurry, but she figured out where her fingers go....

We've had a few lazy mornings lately with a teething girlie.

Her hair s getting soooooo long!

We barely made it to the car before she grabbed this and ripped it open!

She's getting so old!

A project for redecorating. Thanks Debbie for teaching me to mix the PERFECT reds!

While we were shopping this weekend the girlie got a little tired...

Enjoy the Journey.

Ten Minutes

Ten minutes one day is never like ten minutes another.

This isn't part of the "ten minutes" but it was the same "first" day. Emery broke her tumbler cup I'd just bought her and was sad.

The picture above and the ones below in the blue shirt are all within ten minutes. She keeps me busy!

Below we have ten minutes of another day...

Her daddy's response "oh my, oh my, oh my."

Pictured above: a new storage place for my lotion, make up brushes, and nail file.

Then she reads to me about forgiveness. I love this girl.

Enjoy the Journey.

Dear Girlie,

Dear Girlie,

Today at 5ish a.m. I woke up to dad calling me from your bedroom as you were throwing up.... again. This happened last week and I felt terrible for you as you were so miserable, but acting like a champ! You started throwing up every ten minutes, just clear mucus like stuff, and it lasted for two hours. Then you spaced it out, and you ended up throwing up 17 times today. I felt bad, but once again you acted like a champ. You only cried a little, but we would pat your back and tell you "you're doing great! Keep going! Get it out! Awesome!" I never thought I'd cheer for someone throwing up, but today I did. Your poor tummy! It started at the other end too, and you went through about 7 or 8 poopy diapers today.

At about 8 this morning we were able to take a nap together on the couch for about 2 hours. You woke up and acted fine the rest of the day. Because the day started so early though, it seemed to stretch on forever.

Thirty minutes ago you started to get sleepy, dad asked if we should take you up and put you to bed; I refused. I just held you girlie, and you quickly fell asleep. Your body needs rest, and after such a sad morning I'm glad I get to just hold you and watch you sleep. You're growing up so fast, and you get prettier everyday. You'll even be 17 months old tomorrow! I don't know how that happened so quickly!

I'm so blessed to be your mom, you teach me new things everyday!

I love you sweet girlie.

Mom.

A Weekend in Monroe

Last weekend we had the chance to go to Monroe to visit Granpa and Granma Jones as well as go to my cousin Rachael's baby shower. It was so fun!

Going on to pick out wood for a pinterest project.

This sign was on Granpa's barn. Koosharem is just over the mountain from Monroe and is actually the real name of the company Jared works for. The owner of the company grew up there, he thought the sign was really cool when Jared emailed him this picture and offered to buy it! They're just going to do a print of it istead though.

Ready to go!

When we came back from the shower it was soooo windy!

Granpa's tools are loud!

He made her a wooden car and she loved it!

Their brand-we knew Adam would love it!

Helping get the goats to take them back to breed them.

Checking on the Cows.

Emery took this picture of her daddy. :)

Goat's eyes are so strange!

On Saturday night we got to go visit Aunt Liz and Uncle Move-It. It was so fun!

Saturday night this girlie didn't want to go to bed so she got to watch HSM.

Sunday morning (after we went to bed at midnight) we woke up to sounds from the girlie. Jared jumped out of bed and was trying to find the light and it took me a few seconds to realize she was throwing up/choking. She wasa still laying down so I sat her up and she proceeded to throw up in my hands. The smell was horrid. We cleaned her up in the bathroom downstairs and then took her up to get a drink. I really couldn't handle the smell so Jared grabbed her and she started to throw up on him. She was throwing up her lunch from Friday! It was so sad.

Jared said I could wake up his Granma so I did-I about scared her half to death though! I went downstairs and tried to keep myself from throwing up by calling my mom and talking to her. Granma was awesome, she kept running up and down checking on both of us, starting laundry, getting this or that, etc. Granma and Jared both said they didn't breathe through their noses that's how they were able to handle it.

Emery ended up throwing up 6 times total. At 6 a.m. she woke up and asked for water. She was happy and seemed back to normal. I went downstairs for something and came back up, and Jared asked for help. Apparently she went to the throw up bowl and stood there for a bit, so Jared thought it was gross and took it away. She walked to the TV and threw up on the carpet.

A bit later it started out the other end, and overflowed her diaper. We ended up going through about 10 diapers in the next 2-3 hours which caused for a sore sore bottom for the girlie.

By the time we headed home she seemed normal, other than the fact she still didn't want to eat.

It was a fun weekend and we can't wait to go back!

Enjoy the Journey.

Halloween

We took the girlie to a few houses to trick-or-treat and she had so much fun! The first house she wasn't sure what was going on, then the second she put her hand right in the bowl to try to grab multiple. After that she understood and loved it. :)

We only went to 10 houses and she made a haul!

We only had about ten trick-or-treaters. We left our bowl out when we left and came back to candy still in it!

Enjoy the Journey.

Love.

We got to go to Olive Garden to use a gift card and take advantage of the "buy one, take one" deal. It was a fun night out!

And another random picture when we were on our way out the door to IKEA. We needed to get out of the house a few weeks ago after Jared worked on my car and fixed the heat, as well as cutting his hand.

Jared was trying to cut a frozen bagel and sliced his hand pretty bad. I have realized: I don't do blood. If he would have been honest with me about how bad it was we would have gone to get him a few stitches.

Enjoy the Journey.

Stake Center Dedication

(I wrote this post two weeks ago but didn't get to publish it because I wanted to take the picture to add to it)

Dear Girlie,

Last night we went to our stake center dedication. Our stake was created about a year ago, so we needed our own stake center because of the growing stake.

You were amazed. You kept looking at the lights and pointing to them saying "Wow." You held the hymn books and marveled at the "newness" of them as you flipped through them as you would any. You were well behaved and did a pretty good job staying quiet except when you would look up in amazement and tried to share that with everyone.

I am learning new things from you everyday and am so glad you're mine!

Thank you for reminding me of the sacredness of our Heavenly Father's church buildings, and to marvel at the fineness of the craftsmanship and workmanship that goes into them.

Love,

Mom
