Chad and Lisa were making a trip and decided to surprise my dad and come for his birthday. My dad noticed the time off on his schedule and got a little suspicious so Adam, being quick like he is, said the reason he had the time off was because he had to come help us move that weekend. We all jumped on board and played it up [finally we all had a story we could stick to after we'd all slipped up so many times]. I finally called my dad and told him things fell through and that we weren't moving that weekend, so he could just enjoy his time off for his birthday. We were skyping with him showing him our dumpster dive finds-a post for another time for sure- when there was a knock at the door. He couldn't figure out who was at his door at 9:45 at night on a Thursday. My mom told him to answer it and she ran after him with the computer as he opened the door and started yelling. He was totally surprised! I drove up Friday during nap time, Jared drove up after work (he couldn't stay as long as me and my car needed work. It was a fun week with family!
We went to see Grammy on Sunday and she moved in with my parents yesterday (Aug. 1). She was crazy as ever.
She got to meet McKay for the first time, "He weighs a ton and a half!"
Making faces for Julia who was taking pictures, after she showed them her magic trick-that she can take out her top teeth! ;)
She pushed Julia most of the way (her idea), then Julia got off and Emery got on. Like I said she was as much a spitfire as ever and we love her like crazy!
